For several years, First Baptist Sweetwater has seen the value of involving ourselves in collecting filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child (www.samaritanspurse.org). Through Operation Christmas Child we get to share in worldwide ministry to others in more than 170 countries who are less fortunate than we are. Operation Christmas Child has reached over 220 million children since it started in 1993. Last year over 11.3 million children received a shoebox.

The children receiving a shoebox will also receive a booklet telling them about Jesus from His birth through the resurrection. They will be given an opportunity to ask Jesus into their heart. Please pray for the children receiving these shoeboxes.  The children can also choose to sign up for “The Greatest Journey”.  This is a 12 week discipleship program and is translated into 107 languages.  Since 2009, more than
20.3 million participants have made decisions for Christ.
Thank you for being a part of this worldwide outreach and ministry!
