SPECIAL DAYS
Water Day – We have a water day currently planned for Thursday (subject to change). We will send home a flyer on Monday encouraging parents to send kids in a bathing suit or outfit that can get wet. We will not change clothing at church, without parents present.
We are sending home trash bags to keep wet kids off of their parent’s seats for pick up on this day.
Family Hike – We are working on plans for a follow up Family Activity (perhaps a hike, but it’s hot), in keeping with our Summer Camp theme. This would provide an opportunity to appeal to our families with younger children, without creating special programming during the week of VBS.
Dad Hangout – Dad’s get left out of VBS. We’re planning a low-key dad night around the grill, possibly Wednesday evening, during the week of VBS.
THEME
This year we are learning to “LOVE LIKE JESUS” at “Summer Camp.” Not only will we be talking about this June 2-6, this is our theme as a church all summer long.
Our decorations will be summer camp themed—think canoes, cabins, camp counselors, games, etc.
