Amy joined the staff in June of 2007. She has exhibited her passion for the Sweetwater children's ministries by serving in a variety of areas after joining the church in 2002. Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida in 1985. After working in the corporate world for 10+ years, she was led to become a stay-at-home mom after the arrival of her first child in January 1996. After 11 years of raising her children she felt the Lord leading her to be a part of His work at Sweetwater in a different capacity. It was out of obedience to the Lord, a love for children and a desire to see them grow in the Lord, that she began her employ as the Director of Preschool and Children's Ministries.

Her responsibilities include the coordination of efforts for the various children's programs at Sweetwater and ensure the attainment of the ministry's primary goals:

• Ground the children in God's Word
• Provide a safe and secure environment for them
• Minister to the parents of the children

Some specific areas of responsibility are Children's Sunday School, Extended Session Care during corporate worship, Vacation Bible School, and an annual Parent Life Conference.

Along with multiple areas of involvement with the children, Amy is also the 3-year-old Children's Choir Director. She has served in Children's Choir for 7+ years and loves the time she gets to spend with the children. "It is a joy to serve the Lord and when He leads you to a fun area of service, well, that's just icing on the cake!"

Amy and her husband, Andy, are native Floridians and have been married for 25+ years. They have two children: Drew and Jenna. In her spare time, Amy enjoys working on her scrapbooks and spending time with her family.
