Children are a priority at Sweetwater! It is our desire to team with parents in this important job of laying a biblical foundation in the lives of their children so they can come to know the Lord and walk with Him on a daily basis. The men and women that serve in Children’s Ministries do so because they love the children and understand the importance of ministering to them. Their obedient service to the Lord is a blessing to many. Our Elementary Ministry is to children in 1st through 5th grades.

SUNDAY MORNING

Age group Bible Study begins at 9:00 a.m. Children are placed in classes according to their age on September 1 and are promoted annually. Christ-centered curriculum is used with all age groups. Children have fun while learning God’s Word and making friends in a small group setting.

At Sweetwater, we encourage family worship for parents and their children when the children begin 1st grade. We believe parents are to model and teach their children an act of worship that glorifies the Lord.

SUNDAY NIGHT

AWANA (4:00 – 6:00pm) is an international, non-denominational program that builds solid Bible skills in a club environment through Scripture memorization, large group teaching, and an exciting game format. Theme nights and contests add to the fun each week.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Children's Choir (6:00 – 7:00 p.m.) is a fun hour of singing and activities that will give your child the opportunity learn a variety of musical concepts while praising the Lord through song.

Childcare is available on Wednesday nights for children whose parents are attending an Adult Discipleship class, Choir/Orchestra Rehearsal, or are serving in a ministry on campus. Childcare reservations are required and can be made by calling the church office.
