Welcome to the Preschool and Elementary School Children’s Ministries at First Baptist Sweetwater! Our Sweetwater family loves children and is committed to meeting their needs as they grow to know Christ. The Preschool and Children’s Ministry is comprised of children from the cradle through fifth grade and has 3 primary goals:

  • To ground the children in God’s Word through Bible study and hands-on activities
  • To provide a safe and secure environment for them
  • To minister to the parents of the children
In addition to children growing in God’s Word through Sunday morning Bible study and worship there are the following programs:
  1. AWANA
  2. Children’s Choir
  3. Mother’s Day Out
  4. Buddy Break
We believe parents are to model and teach their children an act of worship that glorifies the Lord, so we encourage family worship for parents and their children when children begin 1st grade. Deuteronomy chapter 6 gives parents the authority and responsibility to raise their children to follow the Lord’s commands. It is our desire to partner with you in this task by offering parenting-specific small group studies and parent conference opportunities.

The children’s building at Sweetwater is a happy place to be, and we are blessed by each family that walks through the door. It is our desire to provide a place for your child to grow in God’s Word and to love the Lord with all his heart, mind, soul and strength.
