July

09 Mission Sunday - July 12
We are pleased that Graham Michael will be our keynote guest testimony (in both the AM and PM worships). While a member of our Church, Graham was called of God to give two years of his life to mission ministry in the mountains of South America. Under the leadership of our SBC International Mission Board, Graham was immersed in the culture of an indigenous unreached people group in the mountains of Bolivia. His life altering experience will be shared with us.

At 6:30 PM, we will receive reports from Ezies Ebrahim (Mission Turkey), the Jamaica Mission Team, the Holloways (Mission Israel), Joel Breidenbaugh (Mission Nevada) and updates from Women on Mission, our GMAT (Global Ministry Action Team), and a call-in report from our Students on mission in Alabama. Plan to participate in this important weekend emphasis.

Communicating with Style - Thursday, July 16 & Friday, July 17, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
This summer event strives to successfully engage children in the arts of communication. Today many students don't understand the importance of good communication in our society, and the young adults of Legacy for Christ Orlando Speech Club would like nothing more then to bring an opportunity for children to expand their communication skills. This event will be open to kids from K – 9th grade. The cost is $5 per student, with a maximum charge of $15 per family. We will meet in the Adult building, Room 112. Please bring a bag lunch.

Christmas Trees in July?
Absolutely!  Women on Mission is excited to announce “Christmas in July”.  It is our church family’s traditional mission outreach to the clients of Loaves and Fishes at Christmas. Loaves and Fishes is a local non-profit Christian organization based in Apopka.  It serves hundreds of families each week with education, food, clothing and limited financial assistance.  Everything that Loaves and Fishes is able to give comes through donations from area churches, individuals and businesses.
We are asking you to become part of this exciting and joyful mission experience.  Just take one, two or more of the hand made ornaments from the trees.  On each ornament is the name of a toy that’s been requested for a young boy or girl.  Please bring your new and unwrapped toy and place it under the tree sometime this month.  The ornaments are yours to keep.  Your gifts will be delivered to Loaves and Fishes and given out in December.  These gifts reflect Christ’s love throughout our community.  Thank you for your generosity.
